TEMPLEPSYCHE™

Understanding the Whole Human System A conceptual framework for exploring the interacting influences that shape human experience.

ABOUT

TemplePsyche™ explores human experience through seven interconnected domains: Biology, Psychology, Environment, Lifestyle, Meaning, Information and Integration.

Rather than reducing experience to a single explanation, the framework provides a structure for exploring how multiple influences may interact across the whole human system.

SEVEN INTERCONNECTED DOMAINS

TemplePsyche™ organises whole-human understanding across seven interconnected domains. Each provides a differentness through which human experience can be explored, while recognising that no domain operates entirely in isolation.

01 — BIOLOGY
The body, brain, nervous system, genetics, physiology and other biological processes that influence human experience.

02 — PSYCHOLOGY
Thoughts, emotions, attachment, learning, memory, beliefs, coping patterns and psychological development.

03 — ENVIRONMENT
Relationships, family systems, culture, socioeconomic conditions and the physical and social environments in which we live.

04 — LIFESTYLE
Sleep, nutrition, movement, routines, substance use, rest and the repeated behaviours that interact with wellbeing.

06 — INFORMATION
The information environments we encounter — including media, technology, education and repeated exposure to ideas and narratives.

05 — MEANING
Values, identity, purpose, philosophy, spirituality and the ways people interpret and make sense of their lives.

07 — INTEGRATION
How the different parts of the human system interact, adapt and become organised into the way a person experiences and navigates life

The domains are not seven separate explanations of a person. They are seven places from which to begin asking better questions.

THE PURPOSE OF TEMPLEPSYCHE™

TemplePsyche™ is designed as a framework for organising curiosity about the whole human system.

Rather than assuming a single cause for human experience, it encourages exploration of the interacting biological, psychological, environmental, lifestyle, meaning and informational influences operating within a person’s life — and how these may become integrated across the wider system.

The guiding question is:

“Which interacting parts of this person’s system may be contributing to what they are experiencing?”

A CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

TemplePsyche™ is a developing conceptual framework. It is not presented as a clinically validated psychological model or diagnostic system.

The framework draws upon established areas of psychological and biopsychosocial understanding while proposing an independent structure through which interacting influences on human experience can be explored.

TemplePsyche™ distinguishes between evidence-supported knowledge, conceptual interpretation and areas of uncertainty.

Its purpose is to organise curiosity rather than claim certainty.

INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT

TemplePsyche™ is an independent project conceived and developed by Paris Tranter.

It is not a university project and is not presented as being developed, endorsed or validated by any educational institution.

Academic study forms part of the author’s wider learning and development alongside independent research, reflection and lived experience.

A Conceptual Framework for Exploring Interacting Influences on Human Experience

Paris Tranter | 2026
Conceptual Paper | Version 1.0

This paper presents the first developed account of the TemplePsyche™ conceptual framework, including its seven-domain architecture, whole-system formulation, theoretical foundations, limitations and directions for future development.

TemplePsyche™ is a developing conceptual framework. Version 1.0 represents the framework at this stage of its development and is intended to provide a public record from which subsequent theoretical refinement, research and development can proceed.
